ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST

The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure

efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts. 

Responsibilities:

• Processes all account receivables by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions for service business.


• Generates and processes invoices daily.


• Processes Extra Duty Payroll Reports daily.


• Monitors customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.


• Sets up, maintains and updates all vendor/contractor information.


• Assists in maintaining accurate accounts payable/receivable using accounting programs and software to record, store, and analyze information.


• Provides answers via phone calls and emails on frequent questions and requests.


• Forwards phone calls and emails to the concerned staff, departments, or customers


• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


• Assists with compiling statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, and accounts payable/receivable.


• Prepares and/or processes payment check requests, invoices, reimbursements, etc.


• Debits, credits, and totals accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.


• Handles sensitive information and protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.


• Coordinates office procedures. 


• Resolves administrative problems.


• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• HS diploma required, associate degree in related field preferred. 


• 1+ years of hands-on accounting experience in accounts receivable preferred. 


• Excellent mathmatical aptitude. 


• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 


• Strong attention to detail, time management & decision-making skills


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 


• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


• Proactive, positive attitude when working with contractors with.


• Ability to multi-task and complete projects according to timeline.


• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

REPORTS TO: Accounts Receivable Manager

Salary/Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 per year
