API Platform Software Engineer

The Opportunity: As a back-end developer, you know that a good site or system needs the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to develop a user-focused solution. We're looking for an experienced back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective API solutions for our clients.

As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches, open-source frameworks and commercial products to deliver solutions. Using your software engineering experience, you'll work with the development team to deliver tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications using agile methods
• 5+ years of experience in software development with basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
• Experience with writing source code for new applications or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications
• Experience with using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions
• Experience in creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with acquiring client requirements and resolving workflow problems through automation optimization
• Experience with Java, Python, C#, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, PHP, or Drupal
• Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
