We are looking to add an Architectural summer Intern to our team to work on a diverse array of cool projects and make an impact on the clients we serve.

As an Architectural Intern your role will be to be an active member of our design team collaborating with Design Directors Project Architects and Project Managers to develop creative design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. Successful candidates will be able to translate an architect's or engineer's design sketches into a comprehensive 2D/3D production model.

• Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies and various other design team members to meet overall project objectives
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
• Communicate graphically as required to team members and clients.
• Occasional site visits to perform site investigations and construction observations
• Assist with project administration such as managing invoice summaries, tracking deliverables, document control

Qualifications:

• Junior, Senior or graduate degree candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree
• Proficient with AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) modeling
• Appropriate knowledge of building design and construction means, methods and techniques
• Ability to research relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
• Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and parametric design software
• Ability to read redlines and modify BIM models or drawings
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or SketchUp
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook
• Verbal and written communication skills including ability to write clearly to communicate technical issues and design ideas
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organization, planning and time management habits
• Ability to pass basic background check for entry to US government-owned facilities
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United Sates without visa sponsorship.
