Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Associate to join our Asset Management team. You will be an integral member of the Asset Management team, responsible for monitoring and enhancing the performance of the firm’s real estate portfolio. This role involves deep financial analysis, proactive management of existing assets, and collaboration across internal and external stakeholders to drive value creation and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain detailed and dynamic financial models and cash flows in Excel and Argus for existing portfolio assets to support operational decisions.
  • Analyze and model net effective rents, cash flows, operating assumptions, and financial statements to enhance business plan execution for residential assets.
  • Review and monitor governing documents, including partnership agreements, loan agreements, leases, or other legal documents.
  • Provide asset management support including project level communication with GPs.
  • Review due diligence documentation as part of transaction due diligence and transition process.
  • Prepare Investment Committee memos as well as quarterly and annual reporting evaluating asset performance.
  • Proactively monitor local markets trends and generate new reporting as necessary to contribute to strategy discussions based on current and emerging risks.
  • Assist in the execution of project-level objectives to enhance NOI and increase asset value through operational improvements and strategic capital programming.
  • Apply qualitative and quantitative analysis to optimize leasing, repositioning projects, and property management.
  • Ensure organized and timely communication between internal and external providers (e.g., joint venture partners, brokers, vendors, tenants, and outside counsel) on an array of ad hoc projects.
  • Review property-level financials, capital calls, and loan draws in conjunction with internal deal teams.
  • Other projects as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Economics, Finance, or related focus of study preferred.
  • 4-5 years of institutional real estate or asset management experience required. Experience with CRE & multi-family assets preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities; ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong accounting and financial modeling expertise (Excel proficiency required).
  • High level of judgment, risk assessment, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to articulate complex concepts in clear concise and professional manner
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail; dedicated to excellence in work product and delivery.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
