Traveler Re-engagement Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Traveler Re-engagement Marketing Coordinator to lead efforts in keeping past travelers engaged with kimkim. This role focuses on increasing repeat bookings through thoughtful communication strategies and personalized touchpoints.

The kimkim team is currently based in a few hubs: Boulder, Colorado (headquarters), San Francisco, CA, and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

About the Role

As the Traveler Re-engagement Marketing Coordinator, you will help manage all communication efforts, digital and physical, aimed at increasing repeat bookings and deepening relationships with current and past travelers. You will help refine and execute initiatives such as targeted email campaigns, personalized traveler touchpoints, and engagement strategies to keep our travelers connected with kimkim long-term. While this role does not require deep experience in retention strategy, familiarity with customer engagement tools and a passion for building relationships will be key to success. You will report to the Senior Content Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Email & Direct Communications

• Manage and improve repeat traveler email communications, including frequency, content, and targeting.
• Assist in refining our email newsletters to better appeal to repeat travelers.
• Coordinate and execute on milestone communications (such as birthday and trip anniversaries)

Community & Loyalty Building

• Develop initiatives to foster a sense of community among past travelers
• Partner with marketing to create content highlighting traveler experiences, testimonials, and trip inspiration to drive repeat bookings.
• Collaborate on the creation of a loyalty and referral program to recognize and reward repeat travelers.

Data & Reporting

• Track and analyze the effectiveness of re-engagement efforts, including open rates, engagement metrics, and repeat booking trends.
• Maintain detailed reporting of repeat travelers and their engagement with these efforts.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure a smooth traveler experience from first booking to post-trip communication to their repeat booking.

About You

You are proactive, organized, communicative, and strategic. You are passionate about building long-term relationships between brand and consumer, motivated to find creative and effective ways to accomplish this. You enjoy implementing thoughtful touchpoints and are excited about the opportunity to refine and enhance our traveler retention efforts.

Your Background & Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in customer engagement or re-engagement, retention marketing, or a related role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with email marketing tools (such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar platforms) or a willingness to learn.
• Data-first mindset with a willingness and eagerness to learn and utilize data management or CRM systems like Looker. 
• Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, customer support, and product teams.
• A passion for travel and creating meaningful traveler experiences.

Position Details

This hybrid position is based in Kimkim's Boulder, Colorado, office. The Boulder team works in-office Tuesday through Thursday and has the option to work remotely or in the office on Mondays and Fridays.

While your working hours are flexible, the goals and pace of the work will require consistent availability during business hours.

Salary $40-60K per year
