Position Overview
Title: Clinical Pharmacist Emergency Department | Night Shift | Canyon, TX | Direct Hire
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Location: Canyon, TX
Schedule: 10-Hour Night Shifts | Rotating Weekends
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: Sign-on bonus up to $20,000 + relocation assistance available
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct pharmaceutical care in a busy Emergency Department, ensuring safe and effective medication use
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the trauma team in developing evidence-based treatment plans
Assist in rapid assessment and management of critically ill patients, including resuscitation and trauma cases
Participate in emergency response situations (stroke alerts, cardiac arrests, sepsis protocols)
Conduct medication reconciliation, review therapies, and monitor for adverse drug reactions
Precept pharmacy students and residents, while supervising medication history technicians
Contribute to ED-focused quality improvement initiatives and research

Job Requirements
B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Active Texas Pharmacist license in good standing
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (within 90 days of hire)
Sterile compounding compliance as required by state regulations
Preferred Experience
Completion of PGY2 residency in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency with Emergency Medicine and Critical Care experience
Equivalent hands-on ED/critical care practice experience
