POSITION SUMMARY:
A skilled, licensed Master Plumber who takes pride in transforming lower levels into beautiful, functional living spaces. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise to lead plumbing installations, troubleshoot and repair systems, and ensure that all work complies with local and state codes. You’ll play a key part in ensuring every project is safe, efficient, and delivers the exceptional results that Basements Plus is known for. This is a hands-on role that also requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to delivering a remodeling experience no one else can.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Plumbing Installation & Maintenance
    • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment in residential construction projects
    • Ensure all plumbing installations align with job plans, blueprints, and specifications
    • Conduct thorough diagnostics and develop long-term, code-compliant solutions for plumbing issues
  • Code Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure all work meets or exceeds Michigan Plumbing Code and all applicable safety and permitting requirements
    • Coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions and ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites in accordance with company policies
  • Project Collaboration
    • Work closely with project managers, homeowners, designers, and trade partners to ensure smooth installation and integration of plumbing work into the broader remodeling process
    • Communicate clearly about timelines, material needs, and any challenges that may affect the schedule or budget
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Accurately document work completed, materials used, and inspection results
    • Keep digital or paper records of permit and inspection statuses, installation notes, and service details

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Master Plumber license in the state of Michigan
  • Extensive experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service
