About the Manhattan TMS Consultant Position

We are looking for a Manhattan TMS Consultant who will design and implement complex supply chain solutions for leading retailers and e-commerce companies using Manhattan Active TMS. Your duties will include analyzing business requirements and designing, configuring, and testing solutions that will meet customer needs.

You should have experience managing tasks and deadlines, authoring and comprehending technical documentation, configuring software to meet requirements, testing software, communicating technical concepts clearly, and troubleshooting problems independently. We expect you to be interested in learning and developing proficiency in software solutions.

Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States and must be capable of working remotely and occasionally traveling to client sites in the United States. Opportunities may also exist for travel outside of the United States, including Canada, Europe, and Asia. Historically, our consultants travel approximately 30-40% of the time, but travel may range anywhere from 0-100%.

  • Remote; may reside anywhere in the contiguous United States.

Essential Functions

  • Understand a company's functional, technical and process needs to create supporting documentation and solution requirements
  • Author technical documents such as design and modification specifications
  • Configure supply chain software system to achieve business needs
  • Create and execute testing to validate software and processes are working defect free and to specifications
  • Build and execute effective training to transition software to end users
  • Provide support on-site to increase value being provided to the client and remotely
  • Manage tasks and deadlines with minimal guidance
  • Ensure the timeliness and quality of deliverables

Travel

  • Travel for this role will vary based on project requirements, typically between 30% and 40%

Required Education and Experience

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or other relevant areas
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience implementing or supporting Manhattan Associates' WMS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical documents and translate requirements into actionable tasks

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience implementing supply chain solutions
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms such as UNIX and/or Linux servers and Oracle relational databases
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL for application development
