Pay Rate - $40/hr - $50/hr DOE - Full, Part Time & PRN

FUNCTION: The Physical Therapy Specialist will deliver individualized physical therapy programs including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to facilitate patient progress toward achieving functional goals. This role will involve maintaining positive relationships with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Below are the essential requirements necessary for this role.

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and skills to cater to the physical and developmental needs of the patient population.
  • Ability to remain calm in emergency or crisis situations.
  • Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy program.
  • At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.
  • Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To succeed in this role, the individual must effectively fulfill each key responsibility.

  • Provide direct patient care, assess functional needs, and collaborate with other specialists. Continuously review patient needs and adjust care plans for optimal outcomes.
  • Design and implement care plans based on thorough assessments, involving significant others when appropriate.
  • Practice within defined standards of care to ensure high-quality therapy.
  • Guide support staff to help achieve patient functional goals.
  • Communicate effectively with professional and support staff to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, including safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards.
  • Comply with all company policies regarding resident rights and confidentiality (HIPPA).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Employee Handbook and adhere to its policies.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
