This position is a law enforcement officer and aircraft rescue firefighter. Fire and rescue training is provided and upon successful completion – an annual salary increase of $5,200 will be received. Experience in fire/rescue is a plus but not required.
If the successful candidate is not a certified sworn officer, they must be certified within 1 year of hire by airport-sponsored training at the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services.
The final candidate will be required to undergo health/drug screening, a psychological exam and a comprehensive background investigation. Schedules to include weekdays, weekends, overnight shifts and holidays.
Salary range: $54,516 - $70,012 based on experience. Higher salary for a certified Virginia Law Enforcement Officer or certified Virginia Fire Officer to be based on experience
