JOB TITLE: Real Estate Operations Intern (Fall 2024)
REPORTS TO: CEO and/or COO
LOCATION GY Properties, [Philadelphia, PA] – on-site

ELIGIBILITY: Junior & Senior Students Only
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Real Estate Operations Intern, you will support the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and/or the Chief Operating Officer-Property Management (COO) in various administrative and operational tasks, gaining hands-on experience in property management while developing a comprehensive understanding of the industry.
This internship is not a paid position and is for Fall semester course credit, with a 20-hour/week requirement. Candidate will report to Philadelphia office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Documentation: Perform data entry and maintain documents, spreadsheets, and project management tracking.
Research: Conduct ad hoc research and prepare reports on market data and property performance.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Provide administrative support for Property Management, Operations, and Financials.
Property Operations: Shadow property staff to understand diverse roles within operations.
Communications: Assist with correspondence and calendar management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Current Enrollment: Must be a junior or senior student pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
Initial Knowledge Base: Interest in property management and real estate operations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
Professionalism: Strong analytical and communication skills. Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.
Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity.
Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly.
Responsive and open to feedback and growth.
HOURS: Part-time opportunity: 20h/week
WORK LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA 19123. Fully in-person role.
