Key Responsibilities

 

Front Desk & Customer Service

  • Greet clients warmly upon arrival and ensure they feel welcomed.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
  • Provide information on salon services, stylists, pricing, and promotions.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures for clients.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism.

 

Appointment Scheduling & Coordination

  • Schedule, confirm, and update client appointments using salon software.
  • Maintain an organized appointment calendar to maximize productivity.
  • Coordinate with stylists and other staff to manage schedules and avoid conflicts.
  • Remind clients of upcoming appointments (via text and email).

 

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate client records, preferences, and visit history.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments; issue receipts and balance daily cash reports.
  • Manage salon inventory and front-desk supplies.
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
  • Prepare reports on appointments, cancellations, and sales as requested.

 

Sales & Promotion

  • Upsell salon products and services when appropriate.
  • Maintain attractive product displays at the front desk.
  • Inform clients of ongoing promotions, memberships, or loyalty programs.

 

Salon Cleanliness & Organization

  • Keep the reception and waiting area tidy, clean, and welcoming at all times.
  • Ensure retail areas are clean and neatly displayed.
  • Report maintenance or cleaning needs promptly.
