As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol - Overnight Shift in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent unwanted activity, and responding promptly to incidents as they arise. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. This position requires you to be armed and to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Pay Rate: $24.74 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report findings according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or the public while upholding site-specific requirements.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures while performing assigned duties.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
