As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing responsive assistance, and delivering excellent customer service while addressing situations unique to healthcare, such as patient interaction and facility protection. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disruptions.
• Monitor facility entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to support access control and help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Document observations and incident reports according to Allied Universal policies and client site requirements.
• Collaborate with facility staff and first responders as necessary during emergencies and/or incidents.
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and general inquiries, providing a helpful and approachable presence within the healthcare environment.
• Adhere to all company and client-specific protocols regarding confidentiality, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet all vaccination requirements necessary for work in a hospital environment.
• Must be able to assist with the restraint of individuals in a hospital setting.
• Must be able to work in environments that may include hospital morgue areas.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
