As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $24.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify identification to help to maintain authorized entry to the location.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed in response to incidents.
• Remain alert and attentive while on duty, maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• An active armed guard card or license is required.
• Must be able to lift more than 20 pounds. This is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
