As a Security Professional - Armed Transit Patrols in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and be proficient with authorized equipment while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. You will also interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon12:00 PM - 08:00 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor for and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or disruptions within the location.
• Interact professionally with the public, staff, and visitors while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
• Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client.
• Assist law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during incidents at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
