JOB DESCRIPTION
A well-established, 70-year-old worldwide custom manufacturing company is seeking a highly energetic Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk for permanent placement in their temperature-controlled shop in Arvada, CO on Day shift. The Senior Shipping & Receiving Clerk will play a crucial role in greeting and interacting with delivery personnel, ensuring packages are acknowledged and delivered to the appropriate internal location. Responsibilities include verifying deliveries for accuracy to match BOL (Bill of Lading), maintaining accurate levels of supplies, managing Kanbans, and participating in semi-annual inventory. The role requires stamina as it may involve long hours, weekends, and holidays during peak times. Standing, bending, carrying, and lifting 35 lbs consistently are part of the job. Ensuring all individuals on the receiving dock wear required PPE and comply with safety requirements is essential. The clerk will also maintain a clean and organized dock environment and participate in continuous improvement projects. Advancement Opportunities: The position offers room for advancement within the company. Salaries are based on performance and experience. Optional overtime is available on weekends and holidays, and the opportunity to cross train into other positions. Employees are eligible for health and dental benefits on day one and can take advantage of a 401K with a 60% match up to 6% and tuition reimbursement for continued education. PTO includes 80 hours, plus 48 hours sick leave and 14 holidays per calendar year.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED 5-7 years of Shipping/Receiving experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment Inventory experience Experience with an ERP system, Excel, and/or Word Dependable, reliable, and hard-working
