We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at a high-volume corporate dining facility in Hartford, CT . This is a Monday through Friday position, with occasional night shifts as needed for catered events. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, fine dining or corporate dining experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. This role reports directly to the Chef Manager and supervises a culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Chef Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations, food production, and team management
Assist with planning, developing, and executing daily menus and seasonal culinary programs
Supervise and coach a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and inclusive kitchen culture
Lead high-volume food preparation and catering execution with a focus on quality and presentation
Monitor and manage food cost controls and budget expenditures
Utilize Microsoft Excel for inventory, ordering, and production tracking
Support the rollout of new culinary initiatives in collaboration with the company’s marketing and culinary teams
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and ServSafe protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in fine dining, country club, or corporate dining environments required
Proven background in high-volume food production and catering operations
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with menu planning, inventory control, and cost management
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other kitchen management tools
ServSafe Certification preferred
Must be flexible to work evenings: As needed for events
