As a Veterinary Clinic Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our mobile clinic team—helping deliver essential veterinary services with compassion, accuracy, and care. This hands‑on, fast‑paced role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with animals and people. We provide full on‑the‑job training and no previous veterinary experience is required. Roles & Responsibilities Welcome and assist pet parents throughout the clinic experience, delivering excellent customer service. Safely handle and restrain pets during wellness procedures such as vaccines, nail trims, and microchipping. Prepare and administer vaccines; label and dispense medications appropriately. Collect and prepare blood and fecal samples for lab testing. Support product and service recommendations based on pet lifestyle and health needs. Promote microchipping and educate pet parents on the benefits of preventive care. Drive the company vehicle to and from clinic locations; load and unload equipment and supplies. Collaborate with your team to ensure clinic goals are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Essential Functions / Job Duties Perform pet wellness procedures under the supervision of licensed veterinary professionals. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting clinic spaces and equipment. Monitor and manage product inventory, including tracking expiration dates. Operate clinic equipment and digital tools such as tablets and Bluetooth‑enabled devices. Ensure a safe, respectful, and organized clinic space for pets, pet parents, and team members. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive a company vehicle to clinic locations. Reliable transportation to and from work. Available to work weekends and a variety of weekday shifts, including occasional overnight travel. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work full clinic days (up to 12‑14 hours). Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Professional appearance, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in customer service, retail, or animal care is a plus. Comfortable using tablets and Bluetooth‑enabled devices. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment. Willingness to educate pet parents about clinic services and product offerings. Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Comfortable occasionally working outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods and assist in the care and handling of animals.
