About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO) to lead enterprise-wide strategies in clinical informatics, analytics, research informatics, artificial intelligence, and digital health. The CHIO will be a senior informatics executive, responsible for shaping how information and technology support high-quality, equitable, and efficient care. This role requires a visionary leader with a medical degree, board certification in clinical informatics, and a strong background in clinical care, EHR optimization, telehealth adoption, and analytics-driven initiatives. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of innovation, particularly in AI adoption, and will be expected to lead digital transformation efforts that enhance care delivery and the clinician-patient experience. Key responsibilities for the CHIO include guiding the optimization of EHR systems, developing a standardized telehealth program, and ensuring the responsible use of analytics and AI to improve quality, safety, and population health. The role also involves collaboration with the academic medical center to strengthen research informatics and academic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive informatics expertise, including clinical decision support, workflow redesign, patient safety, and regulatory compliance, and will be adept at influencing and collaborating within a complex, matrixed organization. A mission-driven leader with a strategic, inspirational, and change-agent approach, the CHIO will be expected to communicate complex strategies in practical terms and to advocate for innovation in the pursuit of improved health and well-being for diverse communities.
