We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Network Analyst to join our IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our organization's network infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining optimal network performance, implementing security measures, and supporting our technological needs. This position is based in Austin, TX, and will deploy throughout Texas, working from various business units.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

  • Continuously monitor network performance to ensure optimal uptime and connectivity. Analyze and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.

Network Design & Implementation:

  • Design, configure, and implement network solutions that meet the organization's requirements. This includes setting up LAN, WAN, and VPN networks, as well as configuring routers, switches, and firewalls.

Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data integrity and ensure compliance with industry standards. Conduct regular network security assessments and implement necessary measures.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain and update comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Prepare reports on network performance and incidents for management review.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide technical support to end-users and IT staff regarding network-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve network problems promptly to minimize downtime.

Collaboration & Training:

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other systems and applications. Provide training to staff on proper network usage and protocols.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (work experience can be substituted on a year-for-year basis).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network analysis, design, and implementation. Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving network issues in a timely manner.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and protocols such as SNMP, NetFlow, and Wireshark.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Familiarity with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls) and software troubleshooting.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other IT professionals and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
